This November, we’re gathering a handful of photographers at Golden Hour Farm for something we’ve been dreaming up for a while: Snow & Spurs, a full day dedicated to capturing the real, raw beauty of the American West.

Our location, Golden Hour Farm in Hyrum is the real deal, it is a working ranch complete with sweeping mountain views, wide open pastures, and those gorgeous Scottish Highland cattle you’ve probably seen all over your feed. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to pull out your camera the second you arrive.

We’ve planned five different styled shoots throughout the day, each one designed to push your creativity and give you some killer portfolio pieces:
- Highland Cows (because yes, they’re as photogenic as you think)
- Cowboys & Cowgirls Herding Cattle (the real thing — not staged)
- A Western Bride & Groom (romance meets rugged)
- Rider Carrying an American Flag (pure Americana)
- Cowboys Around the Campfire (golden hour magic)
We’re Michael Flores (Bison Creek Media) and Ambria Wood (Saddlewood Photography), and we can’t wait to spend the day shooting alongside you at one of Northern Utah’s most stunning private ranches.
We’ve thought through every detail — the lighting, the textures, the moments — so you can focus on creating images that actually mean something. From bright midday sun to that buttery sunset glow and cozy firelight, you’ll get it all.

We kick off at noon with quick intros and a safety chat, then shoot until 5:30 PM. We’re keeping the group small on purpose — we want you to have space to create, ask questions, and connect with other photographers who get it.
Whether you’re a seasoned pro looking to shake things up or you just love western aesthetics and want to dive deeper, this day is for you. Come create something beautiful with us.
👉 Grab your spot before they’re gone — we only have room for a few more!
