Frequently Asked Questions
Is this workshop for pros or beginners?
Both! We have had people come out who just got their camera a couple weeks before the workshop, and well established photographers. Even if you’ve been shooting for 30+ years, there will be something new for you here.
We take time before the start of each shoot to walk through the shots, best framing, ideal settings, and troubleshoot any issues.
I am looking more to build my portfolio, not pics of cowboys.
At its heart, this is a portrait and action workshop, set ups with models and fast moving animals. They just happen to be wearing cowboy hats sometimes, but the skills and (more importantly) the pictures you get from this will help you land clients
I’ve never been to a workshop before, I don’t know what to expect.
I get it, walking into a workshop with other photographers can feel intimidating at first. But trust me, the nerves disappear fast. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be surrounded by friendly people, great energy, and endless photo ops. You’ll leave with new friends, incredible shots, and a real taste of Western style
Is this for videographers as well?
Absolutely! There will be a lot of action shots and some amazing backdrops perfect for video work.
Will I get photos exactly like your previous workshops?
Yes and no. Each workshop is unique, built around the location that we shoot at and the people we capture. While some spots may have the ability to have more horses, other locations may have the chance to capture more rodeo style. We do our best to always make sure you will get fun and unique photos, but also practical shots to help build your portfolio.
